The kids really love this spray mat, which is pretty large at 1.7m diameter and is made of good quality, fairly thick PVC material which is very durable - ideal for the garden. The included host attachment works well with a standard hozelock style connector and does not leak. It's easy to control the spray level by simply adjusting the tap, and the spray holes are well positioned to point slightly in towards the centre of the mat, creating a fountain-like effect. Great fun for hot summer days.

However high we had water pressure the sprays just went up about a foot, very disappointing for grandsons as they were so excited when they saw the picture. Good quality but doesn’t do what it should.

So far in the UK we only had one really sunny day so couldn’t use it yet properly despite ordering over a month ago.I tested it quickly in the bathroom to make sure that it works as expected which it does.It will provide endless laughter and fun to our toddler this summer (if weather ever improves!) on those muggy days. I can already hear him laughing running around, our dog will probably end up getting involved too! Seems well made, thick enough and shouldn’t slide around too much.If it lasts one season then amazing. Not too precious for £13.99 for the fun it promises!

First thing I’ll say is it’s April and it’s blowing a gale and raining outside so i’ve had to unpack this on the living room floor.Even so I can see the potential in this mat on a warm sunny day.It is made of fairly thick PVC with sea life cartoon pictures on it.There is a hose attachment value on the edge to attach a garden water hose. Around the edge of the mat and on the mat itself are tiny holes where jets of water spring out, depending on the water pressure. More water equals higher jets of water equals more fun.The whole mat inflates with water and I can imagine kids running through the spray and sliding on the mat.Makes me want to be a kid again.As I said, I’ve not tested this yet but looking at how well it is made I reckon it does what it sets out to do.And that’s give kids a summer of fun…. as long as we have a good summer.

We have had two of these now and both have split on the side where the water fills up leaving a hole too big to even repair. Better buying a better quality one

I was surprised at how big this mat actually is when unfolded - it will easily accommodate a few children for some splashing fun. It is fairly simple to set up (see photos of instructions) and feels well made. The mat is colourful and bright. It has a slight plasticky smell when first unfolded but I imagine this will disappear after being used. The mat is PVC, so whilst the bottom is non-stick (won't slide around too much on grass) the top will become slippery during use - so be sure to use it with a soft surface underneath (ie; grass, not patio!). I would say this is good value and should hold up for several summers.

In the 5 minutes of sunshine we had yesterday I tested the Chennyfun Kids Sprinkle and Splash Play Mat out on our patio. It is fabulous, our grandchildren are going to have a lot of fun in the garden on sunny and warm days. On opening it out what first surprised me was the size, it has a 5'8" diameter, larger than I expected, and then the colour. This splash mat is very brightly coloured (the photos do not do it justice) with a sea theme that young children with love and adding in the numbers was a good decision and will help with the play fun. It is a simple design and comes with a connector that will fit most garden hoses and you control the height of the spray just by adjusting the tap. Easy to use, easy to store, children will love it, what is not to like ?
