Love this system
Love this system. I already have a nest that’s WiFi for years. Now I have a detector in every location of the house including the attic and shed. All will send wifi notices and have voice which is super cool. Just had a power outage and heard popping in my living room. The outage was cause by the lines outside with the wind. I noticed a circuit breaker popped and it would not reset. It was closer which is all the internet gear. When I opened the closet it smelled like burnt electrical. The surge protector has fried. It could have caught fire. Now I have a detector in there

All the features, no false alarms
I had a full house of new Kidde wired alarms that would not stop giving false alarms in the middle of the night. I threw them all out, replaced with these x-sense (6 smoke, 3 combo), and couldn't be happier. Firstly, no false alarms. The smoke units are nice and compact. Talking alarms state smoke location. The app lets me monitor the battery state and make sure all are connected. The hub allows IoT integration, in particular I use Home Assistant and can see all unit details. I also have a "smoke detector detector" unit for my burglar alarm (listens for the smoke alarms going off and calls the fire department), and these units are correctly detected.

Fire alarm save my home
This was the best investment i could ever done . Last week there was a fire in my home, a toy battery exploded in our basement and set stuff around it in fire. This alarm did the job it alarm us where the fire was and it react pretty quick . Took less the. A few minutes to alarm after fire started . It gave me time to put the fire out before the fire department arrive and it save my home .

Saved the Day
I purchased the entire x-sense smart system. It included both the smoke and the heat sensors. The app was easy to install on my phone and easy to use I set up several smoke alarms and a couple heat sensors. It was a couple of weeks after I set it up that I was out of my house and got an alert on my phone that an alarm was triggered. We went home right away and found out that a pan had been left on the stove and was smoking. We are so happy that the system worked as advertised and are thinking about expanding the system in the future. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a smart smoke/heat alarm system.

Reasonably priced solution with some odd shortcomings.
This is a nicely made system that is generally easy to install, assuming you have a working App to use with it. The detectors seem well made and are easy to install. The Hub installed and connected with no problem. Once the Hub is installed, connecting the individual devices to the Hub is straight forward and it is easy to confirm that they are working. The following issues were observed:1. You are very restricted on the voice messages indicating which alarm has been triggered. The voice cannot use any thing other than the pre-stored names which you do not find out until have you have given the location a name. Thus you are restricted to the names they have which may be completely useless for you for indicating where the issue is located.2. I invited my wife so that she could monitor the system, but the app version available in the app store (Apple App Store , v2.7) does not work on her iPhone 16 Pro Max. It allowed her to create an account but then crashes when she signs in and refuses to load. I had v2.6 installed on my iPhone 16 Pro Max which appears to work. I have prevented any upgrade on my phone as it may not work. This makes the system less useful. Also note that the way the application is tied to the system via the invitation is to make sure that the person who gets the invitations uses the same email address that was used in the invite. I cannot see this explained anywhere but I am not sure how it would work otherwise.3. It is very unclear whether the detectors are connected with each other if they are paired with the Hub and the hub fails or goes off line.4. The detector to detector pairing process is complicated although when packaged together in a set they are supposed to be paired without going through a manual process.5. The suggested types of detector (smoke, heat and carbon monoxide) are not available in a convenient set as per their typical suggested home requirement, which means you need to buy a set of smoke alarms and then buy carbon monoxide and heat alarms as needed, making the process unduly complicated and more expensive than first anticipated.6. The set I was shipped was already 7 months old thus reducing the life from 10 yrs. to 9 years and 5 months. It also means that the batteries may need replacing earlier than anticipated.7. One of the detectors had had the battery removed from the alarm (they are supplied with the battery fitted and a insulating film in place to prevent the battery making contact and activating the alarm) and the protective film that prevents the alarm being activated removed. I suspect my set was a return. In summary, this may be a reasonable system that is competitively priced but there are a number of issues that make installation and configuration more complex than it need be and the fact that the App would only work on my Phone is a serious short-coming.Update 3April 2025: App updated to 2.7.1 stopped the app crashing when an invitation is received but required the app to be deleted and re installed when devices added by another user.

Easy install and programming
The install and the programming was straight forward. I set up 6 smokes, with voice location, and one CO detector connected to a base station. I knew that the voice location announcement was limited to 17 specific names. It would be better with more bedroom locations. My only disappointment was in testing all the detectors with one press or app button. In the base station setup, each detector can be easily tested by the button or the app. To make the entire system alarm AND announce the location where the alert started, you must use real smoke, not suggested by me in any way, or use a spray can of simulated smoke. I ordered the can of spray. Far from earth shattering but an app button to do this would be nice to have. The units look good, and the LED lights are large and bright. Customer service by phone and by e-mail was great. A couple of questions were quickly answered.Since installing the smoke and co detectors, I have added the mailbox sensor and two water sensors. All are real easy to add to the system. The spray smoke worked great. Less than 1/2 second spray burst did the trick. After getting more familiar with the smokes, o, mailbox and water sensors, I am updating to 5 stars.
