I’ve had the Beam1 and decided to get the Beam2 with the indoor option. It look like they are made by completely different companies. The Beam2 uses a different software (supposedly better), different mobile app and subscription price (obviously expensive). The system was perfect but when they decided to add the gps and LTE everything went downhill. First, it is not compatible with the new iPhone 16 and the new CarPlay. So you have to chose one or the other. Secondly, it’s is not compatible with hybrid cars that stay in standby when not actively moving. The camera thinks you’re parked and it will turn off. Third, there’s a delay on the streaming of about 30 seconds. This could be a perfect product if they didn’t try to put all the whistles unsuccessfully. It has a great quality image thou. Unfortunately, the preview on your phone is low quality and choppy and you have to request a clip from the cloud 40 minutes at a time. Good luck trying to download a 6hr rideshare drive. It has a lot of potential but still needs a lot of work. Not recommended for 2024.

This is a really nice dash cam. The video quality is excellent and the connectivity is pretty good. I also have a Ring dash cam and the connectivity is about the same. You can expect some latency regarding the cell connection. The only wish that I have is to have some sort of motion detection feature on the cab side to audibly alert you of movement within the app. Perhaps a future firmware/software release.

I know it's not cheap but that's the whole point. We needed the video right away in a accident when the other driver said it was my fault. Once I showed the police the video the other driver could not fight who's fault it was. Install took 30 mins but hide all the wires and no issues. A must buy for everyone!

This style dash cam is good for recording the front of the car but especially for the cabin of the vehicle making it great for live streaming or ride share reasons. It has a nice design with the camera under the software module that is on a swivel for easy camera movement. It comes with the installation kit & OBD adapter wiring as it will need to be plugged into the OBD port to turn on & function. The camera quality is pretty clear either its 2K clear resolution, 4G LTE & comes with a complimentary Nexar Connect 1yr subscription app that is loaded with premium features & video cloud storage, also since it plugs into the OBD port it can record the vehicle 24/7. It’s a high-priced dash cam but very much worth it especially if you do ride share services or create video content while driving or for just a good daily driving dash cam as well.

The view is very clear for inside and outside of the car. The bad thing is it doesn’t capture when you need it to capture. I brought this item for my man on 11/14/24 his car was broken into on 12/13/24 and items were stolen out the car. The dash camera beam 2 road and cabin didn’t even send us an alert and it didn’t capture or record the outside or inside of the car. We wrote to the actual company and they did absolutely nothing. They don’t stand by their product. Do not buy it if you getting it for safety reasons it will not alert you

Literally just got today. I was so excited for it thinking it's gonna be great. Nope. Don't like the layout on the app. Lag time for streaming. And you can't stop the streaming like the nexar pro. Plus when I went to open it, the seal for the nexar box was already broken so who knows what was done to it. Sending this back and putting my nexar pro back up.

I had a positive attitude with this cam since my car has been vandalized several times recently. I hoped it would restore my peace of mind. I received the product but after several hours with support (annoyingly only via chat) it would never finish connecting. A total non-starter. Grave disappointment.
