I originally bought this product as a wave enhancer for my daughter's slightly wavy hair. I'm still working out how to use it properly for that purpose (i.e., use it when it's wet, when it's damp, almost dry, etc.), so I can't comment on that purpose quite yet, but what I can tell you with 100% certainty is that it is a complete game changer for styling MY hair. I usually use the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer without any hair product(s) to straighten my hair, and while it does a really good job of that, my hair remains a bit too frizzy and has too much volume. I decided on a whim to use the Ouai hair oil on it today before using the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer and what a difference it made! I have zero frizz and my hair is so much straighter that it looks about an inch or so longer. I'm really glad I used this product! No regrets!

I have naturally wavy ~2b hair but am over the "curly/wavy girl" routine that actually makes it look good and was looking for a lower-fuss option.How I used: After washing and having hair up in a towel for maybe 20 min, I skipped combing and spritzed this pretty generously throughout my hair. No other product! Then I scrunched/microplopped intermittently with T-shirt material while getting ready and left for work with it still damp.I was so happy with the results! I definitely don't get my hair's full wave potential, but it gives me some shape and casual, beachy waves. Like the perfect "undone but accidentally cute" style. And for SO little effort!I didn't think I was going to like the smell when I was applying, but once my hair dried, I actually really liked it. A light (when dry), kind of herbal?, expensive scent.TL;DR: Spritz & scrunch towel-dried hair for easy, beachy, nice-smelling waves!

I discovered this texture hairspray through a content creator on TikTok who has much shorter hair than I do. She recommended using it right after a shower—spraying it from roots to ends, then scrunching with a cotton towel to create waves, and letting it air dry. I tried it exactly as she suggested, and it worked really well—even without using any other products like leave-in conditioner.On its own, this spray gives me soft, natural-looking beach waves. If I add other products, like leave-in conditioner, the waves aren’t as defined—they end up softer and less wavy. So for best results, I use it solo. I rotate between this and a leave-in conditioner depending on the look I’m going for, which makes it feel like a great value for the money.Another bonus is the scent—it smells absolutely amazing. It also arrived clean, sealed, and brand new, which I always appreciate.Overall, if you’re looking for effortless beach waves without needing an ocean nearby, this texture hairspray is definitely worth trying!

I like this smell and I like this stuff, but it sucks cause it leaves a buildup and leaves remnant behind when I brush my hair after I use it I could tell it comes out on my brush but other than that it’s a nice product. Little pricey for my taste.

Not a fan. Was hoping for a spray that would add a little umph to my hair but it made my curls feel dry and straw like. Smell wasn’t great either. But it may work for someone who has straight hair and on the oily side.

I have fine blond hair so many products can weigh it down or be too oily. Every product I have tried by Ouai suits my hair perfectly and this is no exception. I just spray a little on my wet hair after the shower, comb it through and scrunch with my hands, let it air dry and I have a nice beachy bob with more body! I am a Ouai devotee from now on!

This product used to be amazing, but they changed their recipe (probably to save money) and it's nothing like it used to be. It doesn't smell nearly as good, and now just makes my hair look greasy instead of adding texture and waves like before. I just wish we could get the old formula back.

I did not expect this product to be so liquidity. I spray it onto my hands and then onto my hair, as well as onto my hair first and then I scrunch. I have long hair, it sheds and is wavy mostly after I wash my hair, but it becomes straight after I comb it. The fragrance of this product is so intoxicating. It smells so good! You have to shake it first. I believe I have to find out how to use it in a better way to also tame my frizz.
