We bought this to replace an earlier model that eventually died. We use it everyday - with and without heat depending on the time of year. It provides a very cozy ambiance at the push of a button.

Love the fireplace, love the size, and the flame features but it arrived with a large dent in the frame. They won’t replace only refund, so on that note, I wouldn’t order one from Amazon.

We love our fireplace insert. It fits perfect in our TV stand. The heater works great, heats up the room fast. It looks like a real fire. Great value for the price.

First of all, the overall presentation is great; once you slot it in the wall, it looks good; and you will forgive the fact that it is very light and at times feels like you could bend the back plates just by pushing in a bit.The flame effect is great, and overall it is pleasant to look at, although it has issues.The first problem is related to the heat output: it takes a while to heat up a moderate size room; and of course you can't compare it much to the output of a real fireplace; so if you plan to use this fireplace as heat source for a large room, keep in mind that it will work as long as you are close to the opening, and the opening is located on the top front part of the unit.The second issue is the remote; or better, the fact that there are no controls on the actual device. If you break or lose the remote, you can't operate the device. Ironically my TV remote turn it on and off when I press the option/settings button for my tv; so I assume you can find a replacement for the remote; but it is a concern. I was expecting to find at least a couple of buttons on the unit, to be able to turn it on and off, turn the light on and off and turn the heat on and off, but there are none. So beware that there is no easy way to control this fireplace without the remote.

I installed it in a 1870s fireplace and used the original mantel. The heat is great and the flames look realistic.
